Elevator counterweights made from Gussolith

Gussolith is a product made from various natural components which, when cast into stone form, have a density of 3.8 to 5.5 kg/dm3. Customers can therefore by and large use them instead of the conventional steel, concrete and grey cast iron counterweights, at a considerable saving.

Gussolith is pressure-resistant and non-hygroscopic, so its weight remains constant. Every weight is fitted with reinforcing irons. As well as the standard dimensions, we are able to manufacture customer-specific shapes of high tonnage. With the presses available, NKS is able to manufacture weights with a variety of lengths (200-1,000 mm), widths (100-300 mm) and heights (60-150 mm).

Elevator counterweights made from lead

We are able to supply lead weights (density = 11 kg/dm3) with the dimensions shown, or as required by the customer.

Please enclose drawings/ sketches with your enquiry and indicate the quantity required.

The price of lead weights depends on the current price on the London Metal Exchange (LME) and of course also on the quantity being purchased

Deliveries ex works from NKS

Gussolith counterweights are dispatched on Euro pool pallets with plastic strapping.
The wooden pallets (1,200 x 800 x 150 mm) are loaded with approx. 1 tonne. Many standard dimensions are available from stock.

Orders are dispatched via our in-house carrier or may be collected by the customer.
The delivery period is approx. 2-3 weeks from receipt and confirmation of the order.
